Let’s discuss Truthstream Media’s, “People Are Merging with Their Smartphones” video.

Are we witnessing, as Truthstream Media calls it, “A Zombie Apocalypse” Where reality is becoming a little less real by the day or is this trend something else?

Are Smartphones Programming “Brain Hacking” People?

Research is showing that cellular phone addiction is mentally and physically unhealthy. Recent studies have also shown that smart phone technology called brain hacking, or addiction coding, is being used to program the human mind to become addicted to cellular phone technology.

Let’s start off with a quote from one of the founders of advertising and media manipulation.

“The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country. …We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning society. …In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons…who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.” ~ Edward L. Bernays, Propaganda

What This video Is Talking About is Cyborgification

Cyborgification – is the systematic use of technology to merge humans with machines and create human abilities that extended beyond normal human limitations.

What is the difference between Cyborgification and Transhumanism?

Transhumanism – is a social movement that believes the human race can evolve beyond its current physical and mental limitations, using technology and science. Thus, transhumanism supports cyborgification.

The Internet has now become part of most people in the U.S.

Take away someone’s Internet connection for a couple of days and in many people you will see stress related symptoms that are usually related to cold turkey withdrawal from a drug addiction, especially in younger people and children who have been raised on Internet connectivity and social media.

Yes, We Are Being Engineered with Cyborgification

Who is engineering us? The real truth is we are using technology to engineer ourselves. Could this be the beginning of our human technological evolution from a biological machine into something else and is this a bad thing?

Sigmund Freud said: “With every tool man is perfecting his own organs, whether motor or sensory. Man has, as it were, become a kind of prosthetic God. Future ages will bring with them new and unimaginable great advances in this field of civilization and will increase man’s likeness to God still more.”

Our natural nature is and has always been to become more god-like by creating our own virtual realities or the need for escapism from the material world through a combination of drugs and/or technology is what is happening?

What do you think?  Are we creating technology or is technology creating us?

“I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots.” ~Albert Einstein

Are We Living In A Simulated Reality?

Quantum Mechanics and science is proving more and more that we could be living in a virtual simulation.

The reason that people seem to be so attracted to technology like a Smart Phone or social media is that they are in a way, able to create their own virtual reality by using technology. This does seem like an illogical argument to many people but so would the idea of people being mesmerized and spending most of their time staring into a cell phone or obsessed and reacting on social media 15 years ago.

15 years ago there was no Facebook or Twitter and most people that had cell flip phones without apps in them. Most people also had slow dial up connections using a modem. The biggest issue of 2003 was Internet piracy of copyrighted material.

Imagine what the next 15 years are going to be like? It’s unimaginable for most people, even people creating future technology.

Keep in mind that in the 1990’s it wasn’t cell phones or social media mesmerizing a generation, it was video games. There seems to be something inherent within people, that wants to focus there consciousness into a virtual world of their own making. This would support that the world around us is an advanced simulation or virtual reality. Our evolution is now wanting to be able to create our own virtual reality within it.

Are Smart Phones Dumbing People Down

Research shows that smart phones are dumbing people down and making them less intelligent.

5 Ways Smart Phones Are Dumbing People Down

There are a lot of studies on the Internet that support this from  Time magazine, the Telegraph, the GuardianUSA Today, the New York Times or the National Post. Maybe you heard a Harvard academic citing them on US radio.

There are now reports that this is a myth but anyone can logically see that Smart Phones and social media as well as entertainment is being produced for a shrinking attention span. Which further feeds the reduction of our attention span so this is not really not a myth.

I believe that this is a phase in our technological revolution that we are going through because many people don’t know how to manage technology. My mantra has been, “If you don’t manage technology, it will manage you.

Becoming Transhumanist Cyborgs To Survive In Our Ever-Changing, Complicated And Confusing World

If we look back through human history, humans have always been technologically advancing themselves and at the same time the technology created, could manipulate its audience. Radio became television and with television came catchy, persuasive commercial advertising.

In an age of mass-information, many people are suffering from information overload and now technology is being created to manage our technology and information overload.

Everything has a dualistic positive and negative side, it all comes down to how you use and interact with technology. The atomic age brought great destruction but at the same time having nuclear energy has protected us from a nuclear war and it gives us electricity. As we saw with the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant and the Chernobyl disaster, there are also great risks.

Not Everyone Is Hooked On Technology

My wife and I found ourselves passing through a retirement community and decided to stop at a restaurant we found to have breakfast. The restaurant was full of elderly people, probably in the late 60’s and 70’s. As we looked around, none of them were on their phones, not one person. Everyone was either having a conversation or quietly sitting and listening to others at the table and seemed to be enjoying their company. It was very surreal and different but also so motivating that neither of us even pulled out our phone and ignored our incoming messages.

Every generation has been programmed by the technological advancements of their generation. How many people who grew up watching a lot of television and still watch a lot of television?

An average U.S. consumer spent 289 minutes (4h 49min) daily watching TV in 2015. As new technologies threaten the existence of traditional TV, consumers turn to internet-connected technologies for entertainment. In 2017, consumers spent an average of 2.3 hours daily using an enabled smart TV and a further 3.6 hours using an internet-connected device such as an Amazon Fire TV, an Apple TV, or Google Chromecast.

The Real Question?

The real question we should be asking is, “Is the technology (Smart Phone) you are using adding any real benefit to your life or is it wasting your life?” Time is priceless because it’s something we cannot buy more of or get back.

It’s not about demonizing a technology company because people are mesmerized and addicted to its technology, it’s more about learning to use technology to your advantage and improving your life with it. What and how you use technology is up to you and no one has control over you and your life. Any control anyone or anything else has over you is control you have allowed it to have.

The next time you go out with your friends, make a simple rule that everyone keeps thier phone in thier car or turns it off. No IM or looking at your phone allowed while you’re enjoying each other’s company.

Here Is Something Most People Don’t Realize

Many of the most successful people in this world, including people creating future technology, are not addicted into staring into their phones and have personal assistants answering their texts and emails. They also don’t even have social media pages and rarely have time to randomly post things on the Internet. Again, they hire people to do this for them, if they do it at all.

If you look at the stats above that the average person spent in 2017, 2.3 hours daily using an enabled smart TV and a further 3.6 hours using an internet-connected device, which adds up to 5.9 hours per day watching TV or something on an internet-connected device and keep in mind that these numbers are growing; when is there time to be creative and create something in your life? Add an average 8-10 hour work day and commute along with this and you have;

8-10 hour work day

1 hour commute

5.9 hours watching TV or something on an internet-connected device.

After working, commuting to and from work, watching entertainment, catching up with your emails and IM’s, you only have about 7-9 hours left in the day and we haven’t included sleep.

Who has time to answer constant IM’s, emails and watch entertaining movies and videos when you’re putting all your creativity, time and motivation into creating. It’s something to think about.
